OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF FAMILY AND SOCIAL SERVICES

Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning
Public Notice Regarding Changes in Statewide Methods and Standards for
Setting Payments for Medicaid Enrolled Nursing Facilities

In accordance with the public notice requirements of 42 CFR 447.205, the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) publishes this notice of proposed changes to the reimbursement methodology for nursing facilities. This public notice period will run from May 16, 2018, to June 18, 2018.

OMPP proposes to use the report card score published on June 30, 2017, to establish the report card score measure of the nursing facility total quality score for Medicaid reimbursement rates effective July 1, 2018, in accordance with IC 12-15-14-9.

This State Plan Amendment will not result in a change to Medicaid reimbursement, since the report card score measure of the total quality score used for calculating reimbursement rates for July 1, 2018, will remain unchanged for each nursing facility from the report card score used for calculating their July 1, 2017, reimbursement rates.
