RE: LSA Document #17-337 – Amendments and Additions to 105 IAC 7-1.

On behalf of the Indiana Department of Transportation (Agency), I am submitting this notice to the Publisher in compliance with IC 4-22-2-25, which requires that a notice be sent to the Publisher if a rule will not be approved or deemed approved by the Governor within one year of the publication of the Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule. This notice is submitted to the Publisher before the two hundred fiftieth day following publication of the Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule.

The Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule was published in the Indiana Register on July 19, 2017 (DIN: 20170719-IR-105170337NIA).

Due to a change in Agency personnel over the permit and outdoor advertising programs in conjunction with changes in Agency and industry stakeholders, the Agency may not be able to complete the rulemaking process by July 19, 2018. The Agency hopes to have a final rule adopted by July 19, 2019. Approval or deemed approval by the Governor is expected not later than August 19, 2019.

This notice is being submitted in a timely manner. March 27, 2018, is the two hundred fiftieth day after publication of the Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule.
