TITLE 575 STATE SCHOOL BUS COMMITTEE

RE: LSA Document #17-270

The State School Bus Committee (Committee) is requesting an extension of time, pursuant to IC 4-22-2-25, in which to complete its rulemaking in the above referenced LSA document. The Notice of Intent was published on May 31, 2017 (DIN: 20170531-IR-575170270NIA), so we believe we are within the 250 days for requesting such an extension.

Upon submission of the final rule to the Indiana Attorney General's office it was determined the Committee failed to maintain an online docket of information related to the rulemaking process, as required under IC 4-22-2-22.5. An online docket has now been created and the Committee intends on holding another public hearing to ensure that the public is afforded the opportunity to respond to the proposed rule both at the hearing and online. The Committee believes the rulemaking process could be completed by December 31, 2018.

The expected date the rule will be approved or deemed approved by the Governor or withdrawn under IC 4-22-2-41 is December 31, 2018.
