Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on February 6, 2018, at 1:30 p.m., at the Board Room of the Indiana Roof Ballroom, 140 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, the State Egg Board will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to change the expiration date on Grade A eggs from 30 to 45 days and to add the requirement for the use of new consumer packaging for all eggs sold at wholesale.
The proposed rule will require small flock wholesalers of eggs to use new packing materials with an estimated additional cost of $35.85 per producer per year.
Copies of this proposed rule and any data, studies, or analyses referenced in a justification of requirements or costs on regulated entities are available to be inspected and copied at the offices of Indiana State Egg Board, Purdue University, Creighton Hall of Animal Sciences, 270 South Russell Street, West Lafayette, Indiana or at:
