IC 4-22-2.1-5 Statement Concerning Rules Affecting Small Businesses
Estimated Number of Small Businesses Subject to this Rule:
Based upon 2010 U.S. Census data, an estimated 2,100 small businesses classified as agriculture, mining, utility, or manufacturing that are located within the Great Lakes Basin in Indiana would potentially be subject to this proposed rule amendment.

Estimated Average Annual Reporting, Record Keeping, and Other Administrative Costs Small Businesses Will Incur for Compliance:
No annual reporting, record keeping, or other administrative costs to small businesses are anticipated to occur as the result of the proposed rule amendments.

Estimated Total Annual Economic Impact on Small Businesses to Comply:
No fees for registration, permitting, and water use reporting are required by IC 14-25-15 or 312 IAC 6.2, and no annual economic impact to small businesses for compliance with the proposed rule amendments is anticipated.

Justification Statement of Requirement or Cost:
No economic impact to small businesses is anticipated as the result of the proposed rule amendments.

Regulatory Flexibility Analysis of Alternative Methods:
No regulatory flexibility analysis of alternative methods was conducted by the Department of Natural Resources as no economic impact on small businesses for compliance with the proposed rule amendments is anticipated.
