Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on September 14, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 302 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room D, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to readopt 675 IAC 19-4, the 2010 Indiana Energy Conservation Code.

The Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission has the authority to adopt this rule under IC 22-13-2-2. The proposed rule provides minimum requirements for the energy-efficient design of buildings, except Class 2 structures. No costs or requirements will be imposed by this rule, as this rule is currently in place and the current regulatory scheme will be continued by readopting this rule. Regardless of the current regulatory scheme, any requirement or cost not expressly required by any state or federal law that will be imposed on a regulated entity by this rule is justified by the long-term environmental and economic savings that will be realized over the life of a building due to increased energy efficiencies obtained by this rule.
