Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on June 5, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 302 West Washington Street, Conference Room 12, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Secretary of State will hold a public hearing on revisions and additions to 75 IAC 3 concerning the licensure of automotive salvage recyclers.

The Indiana Secretary of State has the authority to promulgate rules in accordance with the requirements of IC 9-32-3-1. It is estimated that some small businesses that operate as automotive salvage recyclers may be affected by this rule. The proposed rule may increase costs for automotive salvage recyclers to comply with the location requirements regarding the established place of business all licensees must have. These costs are associated with the minimal standards necessary to ensure that Indiana automotive salvage recyclers licenses are held only by those genuinely engaged in the legitimate sale or manufacture of salvage vehicles.

The proposed rule is available to be inspected and copied at the office of the Indiana Secretary of State, Indiana Government Center South, 302 West Washington Street, Room E-111, Indianapolis, Indiana.
