Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on May 11, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room 2, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Office of the Secretary of Family and Social Services – Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule amending the following sections: 405 IAC 1-4.2-4 to extend through June 30, 2019, the three percent rate reduction for covered home health agency (HHA) services; 405 IAC 1-8-3 to extend through June 30, 2019, the three percent rate reduction for covered outpatient hospital services; 405 IAC 1-10.5-6 to extend through June 30, 2019, the three percent rate reduction for covered inpatient hospital services; and 405 IAC 1-14.6-26 to extend through June 30, 2019, the three percent rate reduction for covered nursing facilities. Pursuant to IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3), the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) – Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) proposes to amend 405 IAC 1-4.2-4, 405 IAC 1-8-3, 405 IAC 1-10.5-6, and 405 IAC 1-14.6-26 to extend the current rate reduction of three percent for covered home health agency services, outpatient and inpatient hospital services, and nursing facilities. The rate reduction amendments are necessary in order to remain within the available Medicaid appropriation in the state budget.

All parties interested in the proposed rule are invited to attend the public hearing and to offer public comments.
