Temporarily amends
312 IAC 9-6-6 eliminating the closure of two streams for fishing from April 1 through June 15; fishing will be authorized throughout the rest of the year in the confluence of the west branch and east branch of the Little Calumet River where it enters the Portage Burns Waterway in Porter County up to the east branch to U.S. 20, and in Trail Creek in LaPorte County from the Franklin Street Bridge in Michigan City upstream to U.S. 35. Temporarily amends
312 IAC 9-7-13 by increasing the daily bag limit for lake trout in Lake Michigan to three per day. Effective April 1, 2017.
(b) An individual may fish at the following locations from April 1, 2017, until March 31, 2018:
(1) The confluence of the west branch and east branch of the Little Calumet River where it enters the Portage Burns Waterway (formerly known as Burns Ditch), in Porter County up the east branch to U.S. 20, excluding its tributaries.
(2) Trail Creek in LaPorte County from the Franklin Street Bridge in Michigan City upstream to U.S. 35, excluding its tributaries.
(b) An individual may take not more than five (5) trout and salmon in aggregate per day, of which not more than three (3) may be lake trout.
SECTION 3. This document expires on March 31, 2018.
