Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under
IC 4-22-2-23, the Secretary of State intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:
OVERVIEW: Amends
75 IAC 3 concerning salvage motor vehicles and automotive salvage recyclers. Amends references to the bureau of motor vehicles to now refer to the secretary of state. Corrects outdated statutory references and amends definitions to refer to statutory definitions of the same terms. Amends record keeping requirements for automotive salvage recyclers that purchase or sell salvage motor vehicles or major component parts. Clarifies requirements for license application and adds requirements regarding an automotive salvage recycler's established place of business. Clarifies requirements for license renewal. Repeals rules regarding enforcement action. Questions concerning the proposed rule may be addressed to the Small Business Regulatory Coordinator for this rule. Effective 30 days after filing with the Publisher. Statutory authority:

IC 4-4-35-8, specifically
IC 4-4-35-8(9), investigating and attempting to resolve any matter regarding compliance by a small business with a law, rule, or policy administered by a state agency, either as a party to a proceeding or as a mediator.
