Street, Discovery Hall Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana State Board of Animal Health will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule that establishes licensing and inspection requirements for hunting preserves. The proposed rule adds
345 IAC 2-9 to set forth certain operational standards, such as signage and record keeping requirements, and specifies what is required for a licensed owner to issue special hunting permits. The proposed rule clarifies when a hunting preserve may cull permitted animals from the preserve without obtaining a special hunting permit and sets forth the requirements governing the use of a permitted animal for food after the animal has been sedated or treated with medications. The proposed rule also states the violations for failure to comply with the hunting preserve rule.
