RE: LSA Document #15-451 - Amendments to 864 IAC 1.1

On behalf of the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency and the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers, I am submitting this notice to the Publisher of the Indiana Register and Indiana Administrative Code in compliance with IC 4-22-2-25, which requires that a notice be sent to the Publisher if a rule will not be approved or deemed approved by the Governor within one year of publication of the Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule. This notice is submitted to the Publisher before the two hundred fiftieth day following the publication of the Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule.

The Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule was published in the Indiana Register on January 6, 2016 (DIN: 20160106-IR-864150451NIA).

Due to extended deliberations as well as staff turnover the Board and Agency may not be able to complete the rulemaking process by January 6, 2017. The Board and Agency hope to have a final rule adopted September 29, 2017. Approval or deemed approval by the Governor is expected not later than December 13, 2017.

This notice is being submitted in a timely manner. August 10, 2016, is the two hundred seventeenth day after publication of the Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule.
