Notice of Public Hearing
Under
IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on July 28, 2016, at 8:30 a.m., local time, at the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W064, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Medical Licensing Board of Indiana will hold a public hearing to create
844 IAC 5-9 to establish criteria for approval of locations, which provide a health care service described in
IC 34-30-13-1.2, eligible to be placed on the electronic health care volunteer registry.
In order to ensure that the delivery of health care services are provided in a safe manner, the Board's rule imposes certain facility requirements in order to be included on the registry. These requirements include: a source of power and light; a designated space for health care services; adherence to infectious waste management and universal precaution rules; access to potable water, including hot water and toilet facilities; adequate ventilation; facilities kept in good repair; instruments to measure vital signs; a container for waste; and means to communicate with emergency personnel. There are additional requirements for mobile units relating to their registered address and operator's licenses.
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W072 and Legislative Services Agency, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N201, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
