Title: Interpretation of 675 IAC 14-4.3, 2005 Indiana Residential Code, Section R311.4.3.2 – Landings at Non-Required Exterior Doors

Date: February 2, 2016

Purpose and Background: The purpose of this nonrule policy is to clarify the requirements for landings at exterior doors other than the required means of egress door.

Interpretation: The Commission hereby interprets Section R311.4.3.2 to allow the ground to be the landing provided the ground meets the slope requirements of R311.4.3.
