RE: LSA Document #14-509

On behalf of the Department of Education, I am submitting this notice in compliance with IC 4-22-2-25, which requires that a notice be sent if a rule will not be signed by the Governor within one year of publication of the Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule. This notice is to be filed by the two hundred fiftieth day following the publication of the Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule.

The Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule for LSA Document #14-509 was published in the Indiana Register on December 24, 2014 (20141224-IR-512140509NIA). The total number of days between December 24, 2014, and July 20, 2015, is 209 days.

The Department of Education sent the rules to the State Budget Agency (SBA) on January 2, 2015. The SBA is still reviewing the rules, resulting in a delay of several months. Final approval by the Governor is expected no later than March 31, 2016.
