Notice of Changes in Methods and Standards for Medicaid Payments for Medicaid Enrolled Large Private Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Community Residential Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled


In accordance with public notice requirements of 42 CFR 447.205 and Section 1902(a)(13)(A) of the Social Security Act, the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) publishes this notice of proposed changes to the reimbursement methodology for Large Private Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICFs/IID) and Community Residential Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (CRFs/DD).

The OMPP proposes to reimburse ICF/MR and CRF/DD providers at a reimbursement rate that is three percent (3%) higher than the Medicaid reimbursement rate for the services calculated using the methodology in effect on December 31, 2013. It is estimated that the fiscal impact of increasing Medicaid reimbursement rates by three percent (3%) over the rates calculated using the methodology in effect on December 31, 2013 is as follows:
