Under
IC 4-22-2-24,
IC 13-14-8-6, and
IC 13-14-9, notice is hereby given that on
July 8, 2015, at
1:30 p.m. EDT, at the
Indiana Government Center South, 302 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room A, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Environmental Rules Board will hold a public hearing on new rules and amendments to rules concerning transferring authority to issue NPDES general permits, for the five general permits that the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) has approved, from the Water Pollution Control Division to the commissioner to comply with the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1251 et seq.). This rulemaking will also update requirements to meet current federal standards and maintain the existing permit by rule general permits for those categories for which the U.S. EPA has not yet approved the administratively issued general permits.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments from the public prior to final adoption of these rules by the board. All interested persons are invited and will be given reasonable opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed new rules and amendments. Oral statements will be heard, but, for the accuracy of the record, all comments should be submitted in writing.
