TITLE 105 INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Notice of Public Hearing
LSA Document #14-336

Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on October 17, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room 5, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to amend 105 IAC 9-4 regarding the specific service sign program.
The proposed rule to amend 105 IAC 9-4 would broaden the definition of a freeway, improve the sign spacing and visibility requirements while extending the grandfather date for nonconforming signs, and update the eligibility requirements for participation in the logo sign program.
The total annual impact of the proposed rule is estimated to be $151,200. These costs are justified so that the program best serves the interests of the motoring public in notifying them of the gas, food, and other services available at interstate interchanges.
Copies of these rules are available on the Indiana Department of Transportation website at:
http://www.in.gov/indot/3091.htm
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N925 and Legislative Services Agency, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N201, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
