TITLE 876 INDIANA REAL ESTATE COMMISSION

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule
LSA Document #14-60

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Indiana Real Estate Commission intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 876 IAC 3-3-19 to comply with the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 regarding licensing requirements for individuals licensed in another state. Amends 876 IAC 3-5-1 to comply with the Dodd-Frank Act regarding continuing education requirements for trainee appraisers. Amends 876 IAC 3-5-2 regarding the board's authority to approve real estate appraiser continuing education courses, removing the exception of courses over seven hours in length. Comments and questions may be addressed to the Small Business Regulatory Coordinator for this rule. Statutory authority: IC 25-34.1-3-8.

Resources available to regulated entities through the small business ombudsman include the ombudsman's duties stated in IC 5-28-17-5, specifically IC 5-28-17-5(9), investigating and attempting to resolve any matter regarding compliance by a small business with a law, rule, or policy administered by a state agency, either as a party to a proceeding or as a mediator.
