TITLE 140 BUREAU OF MOTOR VEHICLES

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 140 IAC 8-4-25, regarding Crossroads 2000 fund permit or license fee increase, in accordance with IC 9-14-2-2 and IC 9-29-1-2. Adds 140 IAC 8-5, to clarify distribution to the State Motor Vehicle Technology Fund, in accordance with IC 9-14-2-2 and IC 9-29-16. Effective 30 days after filing with the Publisher. Written comments should be addressed to Patrick Price, General Counsel, Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, N404, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204. Statutory authority: IC 9-14-2-2.

Resources available to regulated entities through the small business ombudsman include the ombudsman's duties stated in IC 5-28-17-5, specifically IC 5-28-17-5(9), investigating and attempting to resolve any matter regarding compliance by a small business with a law, rule, or policy administered by a state agency, either as a party to a proceeding or as a mediator.
