Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on August 9, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Department of Education, Virgil Grissom Room, 115 West Washington Street, South Tower, Suite 600, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana State Board of Education will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to Title 511 of the Indiana Administrative Code to amend 511 IAC 7-40-8(l) to align with the federal rules implementing the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act with regard to parental consent in the reevaluation of a student with a disability, specifically, to eliminate the current state requirement for parental consent prior to the case conference committee's determination of the need for reevaluation.

The proposed rule would not impose requirements or costs under IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3).

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Department of Education, 115 West Washington Street, and Legislative Services Agency, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N201, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
