FOR: PARDON FOR HERBERT WALKER
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS MAY COME, GREETINGS;
WHEREAS, HERBERT WALKER, who petitioned for a pardon, was convicted in St. Joseph County of 2nd Degree Burglary in 1965; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner, is now a 68 year-old man who has been a productive member of society, lived a law abiding life, and served honorably in the United States Army, California National Guard and Hawaii National Guard, including the receipt of a Purple Heart and a Vietnam Service Medal; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner has been actively involved in his community, and has worked for many years as a nurse; and
WHEREAS, the Parole Board, after careful investigation and examination of all the facts in this case, has unanimously recommended to the Governor that this pardon be granted.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., Governor of the State of Indiana, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of said State do hereby issue a Pardon to HERBERT WALKER.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of the State of Indiana on this 8th day of November, 2012.
