Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on December 6, 2012, at 1:30 p.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Room 22, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Medical Licensing Board of Indiana will hold a public hearing to amend 844 IAC 6-1-2 to define continuing competency and contact hour and to add 844 IAC 6-8 to implement rules based on House Enrolled Act 1233 (P.L.197-2011) for physical therapists and physical therapists assistants, including establishing the continuing competency requirements, responsibilities of licensees, license period and number of hours required for the license period, Category I continuing competency courses and Category II continuing competency activities, and approved organizations and standards for approval.

This rule will have no fiscal impact on small businesses or impose any cost to the public or state or local government.
