Notice of Public Hearing
Under
IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on June 13, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. EDT, at the Indiana Government Center South, 302 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room 1, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to add NFPA 13R – 2010, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in Residential Occupancies up to and Including Four Stories in Height, make conforming changes, and to repeal
675 IAC 13-1-25.
The Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission has the authority to adopt this rule under
IC 22-13-2. The new requirements imposed by the adoption of the rule allow the use of new technologies for materials and methods, clarify how certain aspects of modern construction and sprinkler system installation are to be coordinated, and provide guidance on how new materials are to be used. The proposed rule also may result in cost savings to the regulated community.
