TITLE 312 NATURAL RESOURCES COMMISSION

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Natural Resources Commission intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 312 IAC 9-3-2, which governs general requirements and licenses for hunting deer, to add an electronic reporting system for checking in harvested deer, to allow the possession of a handgun without a handgun license in accordance with IC 35-47, and to allow three antlerless deer to be taken with the deer license bundle. Amends 312 IAC 9-3-10 governing commercial processing of deer to specify that an electronic harvest confirmation number may be recorded and to establish a date for registering with the department. Amends 312 IAC 9-4-11 to allow another individual to call for a turkey hunter if properly licensed, to add an electronic reporting system for checking in harvested turkeys, to extend the fall turkey season for an additional day, and to allow the possession of a handgun without a handgun license in accordance with IC 35-47. Effective 30 days after filing with the Publisher.
