Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on April 5, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Gaming Commission, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600-East, Executive Conference Room, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Gaming Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule that expands applicability; replaces obsolete and duplicative terminology; eliminates and updates certain reporting requirements; standardizes the procedure for deviations from rules; clarifies eligibility to practice before the Commission; updates requirements for Commission rooms at casinos; updates requirements for the compulsive gambling hotline; amends marine compliance, related party transaction, application, licensure, transfer, institutional investor, gaming device, debt transaction, bank area, and credit requirements; codifies procedure for interim felony waivers; adds TITO technology where applicable; eliminates references and inferences to the State Police being enforcement agents; acknowledges new technologies for surveillance and gaming devices; eliminates certain disclosure requirements for Social Security numbers; and makes numerous technical changes.
The Indiana Gaming Commission has the authority to promulgate rules in accordance with IC 4-33 and IC 4-35. The cost to regulated entities under the proposed rule will be the basic costs necessary to implement any rule, and are necessary to simplify processes and ensure the integrity of gaming. The Commission has relied solely on internal analysis regarding the imposition of costs.
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Gaming Commission, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600-East and Legislative Services Agency, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N201, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
