Emergency Rule

DIGEST
Temporarily adds rules concerning scratch-off game number 0331. Statutory authority:
IC 4-30-3-9. Effective February 23, 2012.
SECTION 1. The name of scratch-off game number 0331 is "BEJEWELED™ Diamond Doubler".
SECTION 2. Tickets in scratch-off game number 0331 shall sell for two dollars ($2) per ticket, unless otherwise adjusted by temporary price reductions or other promotional activities conducted or authorized by the commission.
SECTION 3. (a) Each ticket in scratch-off game number 0331 shall contain a total of eighteen (18) play symbols and six (6) prize symbols under a scratch-off material covering the game play data area.
(b) Each play symbol includes a caption that corresponds with and verifies the play symbol as follows:

(d) If a question arises as to a play or prize symbol, the caption that corresponds with the play or prize symbol will be used for final clarification.
(e) The game play data area of each ticket in scratch-off game number 0331 shall be divided into seven (7) distinct game areas as follows:
(1) Six (6) distinct game areas will be labeled as "ROW 1", "ROW 2", "ROW 3", "ROW 4", "ROW 5", and "ROW 6". Each game area shall contain three (3) play symbols and one (1) prize symbol. The one (1) prize symbol appears to the right of and corresponds with the three (3) play symbols in that game area; and
(2) An area labeled "BONUS" that contains one (1) play symbol.
SECTION 4. The:
(1) retailer validation code;
(2) game/pack/ticket number; and
(3) validation number;
are for commission or retailer use only and cannot be used or played as a play or prize symbol to win a prize.
SECTION 5. (a) A ticket in scratch-off game number 0331 must be validly purchased and the scratch-off material covering the game play data area must be fully removed in order to win a prize.
(b) If three (3) like play symbols are revealed in any individual game area, the ticket may be redeemed for a prize in the amount represented by the prize symbol that is located to the right of and corresponding with the three (3) matching play symbols.
(c) If three (3) "
" (DIAMOND) play symbols are revealed in any individual game area, the ticket may be redeemed for a prize two (2) times the amount represented by the prize symbol located to the right of and corresponding with the play symbol.
(d) If a "
" (WIN $50) play symbol is revealed in the "BONUS" game area, the ticket may be redeemed for a prize of fifty dollars ($50).
SECTION 6. (a) The approximate number of possible prizes and the estimated odds for each prize level are as follows:
Total value of all prizes*: $5,261,080
Approximate print quantity: 4,066,800 (-3%/+1%)
(b) The approximate number of prizes and the estimated odds provided in subsection (a) are calculated based on an approximate print quantity. The actual number of prizes and the chances of winning a prize will vary depending on the actual quantity of tickets printed and as prizes are claimed.
(c) If the print quantity is changed during production of this game or due to subsequent reorders of the game, the ratio of prizes and total value of all prizes to the print quantity will be proportionately maintained so that the overall odds and prize payout percentage will approximate the values provided in subsection (a).
(d) Forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000) in prizes are to be awarded through the Hoosier Lottery's BEJEWELED Diamond Doubler 2nd Chance Promotion. The value of the 2nd chance prizes are included in the total value of prizes in subsection (a), but are not reflected in odds calculations.
SECTION 7. The BEJEWELED Diamond Doubler 2nd Chance Promotion adopted by the Hoosier Lottery February 14, 2012, are hereby incorporated by reference and shall govern the conduct of the Hoosier Lottery BEJEWELED Diamond Doubler 2nd Chance promotion. The incorporated document is available for public view at www.hoosierlottery.com. A copy of the rules may be obtained at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters at 1302 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
SECTION 8. This document expires sixty (60) days after the last claim date in scratch-off game number 0331.
