Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on March 29, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. EDT, at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W161, Indianapolis, Indiana, the State Personnel Department will hold a public hearing concerning a proposed rule to add a new article 31 IAC 5 that abridges and recodifies all of the rules of the State Personnel Department to eliminate redundancies, streamline procedures, and update the description of current practices, including employment applications, appointment, service ratings, classification, compensation, hours of work, overtime, leaves, disciplinary actions and separations, and to repeal all existing rules of the State Personnel Department that are applicable to the executive branch.

The State Personnel Department has authority to adopt this rule under IC 4-15-2.2-19. Public comments are invited and may be directed to Keith Beesley, General Counsel, State Personnel Department, Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W161, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
