TITLE 345 INDIANA STATE BOARD OF ANIMAL HEALTH

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Indiana State Board of Animal Health intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: The rule will add and amend animal health requirements for moving cervids, such as deer and elk, into Indiana, within the state, and to exhibition. The rule will amend requirements for enrollment and participation in herd disease status programs, such as the chronic wasting disease program. The rule may address animal health requirements to control risks associated with chronic wasting disease, tuberculosis, brucellosis, and other diseases. The rule may make other changes in the law of animal disease control in cervids. Questions and comments concerning the proposed rule may be sent to the Small Business Regulatory Coordinator for this rule. Statutory authority: IC 15-17-3-13; IC 15-17-3-21; IC 15-17-15-9; IC 15-17-15-11.
