Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on October 14, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N501, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Natural Resources Commission will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to 312 IAC 13, which governs water well drillers, to provide for the licensing of water well pump installers and continuing education for pump installers and water well drillers, assist with the implementation of P.L.84-2010, add definitions, clarify language, and make technical corrections.

IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3) Justification Statement: All requirements or costs incurred by regulated entities under the provisions of this proposed rule are necessary for the implementation of SEA 356. License fees for water well drillers and pump installers are established by statute (SEA 356) and examination fees for water well drillers are currently set by rule (312 IAC 13). Continuing education requirements and procedures for water well drillers and pump installers are established by SEA 356.
