TITLE 170 INDIANA UTILITY REGULATORY COMMISSION

Notice of Public Hearing
LSA Document #11-426

Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on October 12, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. EDT, at the PNC Center, 101 West Washington Street, IURC Conference Center, Judicial Courtroom 224, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule (RM #09-04) to amend the IURC's administrative rules regarding distribution system improvement charges.
The proposed rules are voluntary and will affect those public utilities that are providing water service, subject to the jurisdiction of the commission, who choose to implement the distribution system development charge procedure. It will also affect those utilities' wholesale customers. There is no or de minimis cost to the proposed rules, as the IURC already requires the notification and reconciliation that is being formalized in the proposed rules. The proposed rules may result in savings to utilities and their wholesale customers, because the utilities will have an accurate reconciliation of their costs and their wholesale customers will receive notice of the reconciliations faster, permitting them to recoup their costs faster.
Copies of any justification data (referenced data, studies, or analyses) are now on file with the Commission and available to be inspected and copied at the PNC Center, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1500 East, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Copies of these rules are now on file at the PNC Center, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1500 East and Legislative Services Agency, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N201, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
