Emergency Rule

Temporarily adds rules concerning scratch-off game number 0281. Statutory authority:
IC 4-30-3-9. Effective April 28, 2011.
SECTION 1. The name of scratch-off game number 0281 is "HIT $100".
SECTION 2. Tickets in scratch-off game number 0281 shall sell for two dollars ($2) per ticket, unless otherwise adjusted by temporary price reductions or other promotional activities conducted or authorized by the commission.
SECTION 3. (a) Each ticket in scratch-off game number 0281 shall contain a total of ten (10) play/prize symbols under a scratch-off material covering the game play data area.
(b) Each play/prize symbol includes a caption that corresponds with and verifies the play symbol as follows:
(c) If a question arises as to a play or prize symbol, the caption that corresponds with the play or prize symbol will be used for final clarification.
(d) The game play data area of each ticket in scratch-off game number 0281 shall be divided into two (2) distinct game areas as follows:
(1) An area that contains nine (9) play/prize symbols.
(2) An area labeled "HIT $100" that contains one (1) play symbol.
SECTION 4. The:
(1) retailer validation code;
(2) game/pack/ticket number; and
(3) validation number;
are for commission or retailer use only and cannot be used or played as a play or prize symbol to win a prize.
SECTION 5. (a) A ticket in scratch-off game number 0281 must be validly purchased and the scratch-off material covering the game play data area must be fully removed in order to win a prize.
(b) If three (3) matching play symbols are revealed, then the ticket may be redeemed for a prize in the amount represented by the three (3) matching play symbols.
(c) If the "
" (HIT) play symbol is revealed in the area labeled "HIT $100", the ticket may be redeemed for a prize of one hundred dollars ($100).
SECTION 6. (a) The approximate number of possible prizes and the estimated odds for each prize level are as follows:
Total value of all prizes*: $5,279,700
Approximate print quantity: 4,080,000 (-3%/+1%)
(b) The approximate number of prizes and the estimated odds provided in subsection (a) are calculated based on an approximate print quantity. The actual quantity of tickets will vary from the approximate print quantity of tickets within a range of minus three percent (-3%) to plus one percent (+1%). The actual number of prizes and the odds for each prize amount will vary depending on the actual quantity of tickets.
(c) If the print quantity is changed during production of this game or due to subsequent reorders of the game, the ratio of prizes and total value of all prizes to the print quantity will be proportionately maintained so that the overall odds and prize payout percentage will approximate the values provided in subsection (a).
SECTION 7. This document expires sixty (60) days after the last claim date established by the director for scratch-off game number 0281.
