Under
IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on April 26, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Reclamation Field Office, 14619 West State Road 48, Jasonville, Indiana, the Natural Resources Commission will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to
312 IAC 8, which governs the use of DNR properties, to add
312 IAC 8-2-17 to govern the use of Redbird State Riding Area and the use of Interlake State Recreation Area, to restructure definitions used in
312 IAC 8, as well as a cross-reference to the definition of "license" in
312 IAC 1-1-23, to make other technical changes, and to repeal
312 IAC 8-1-4.
IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3) Justification Statement: All requirements by the rule amendments on regulated entities under
IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3) are reasonably necessary for the implementation of
IC 14-10-2-4 and
IC 14-11-2-1. The requirements are all safety related to protect the users of the property from injury and to protect the property from damage. By making users less likely to be injured, the rules also reduce the amount of financial exposure to the state.
