TITLE 250 LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING BOARD

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Law Enforcement Training Board intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Under IC 5-2-1-9(g), the Law Enforcement Training Board adopts the following requirements in accordance with IC 4-22-2 for mandatory in-service training of Indiana law enforcement officers. Upon approval by the Law Enforcement Training Board, a proposed rule modification to 250 IAC 2-7-1 shall be submitted to the Legislative Services Agency to initiate the rulemaking process. The minimum training hours for in-service training subjects required to satisfy IC 5-2-1-9(g) when the number of hours is not specified by law shall be set as specified in the attached Proposed Rule. Statutory authority: IC 5-2-1-9.

Resources available to regulated entities through the small business ombudsman include the ombudsman's duties stated in IC 5-28-17-5, specifically IC 5-28-17-5(9), investigating and attempting to resolve any matter regarding compliance by a small business with a law, rule, or policy administered by a state agency, either as a party to a proceeding or as a mediator.
