Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on September 8, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. EDT, at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room 5, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Department of Child Services will hold a public hearing on a proposed new rule to establish eligibility requirements and procedures, consistent with statutory conditions, under which individuals between 18 and 21 years of age who were or will be in foster care immediately before becoming 18 years of age may request continuation of foster care, or a new foster care placement, in an appropriate licensed foster family home, upon recommendation of the department and court approval.

The proposed rule would not impose requirements or costs on any regulated entity that are not expressly required by the authorizing statute or other state or federal law, for which a statement is required under IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3).

Written statements concerning the proposed rule may be submitted before or at the time of the hearing. Questions, comments, or prehearing written statements may be forwarded to the mailing address or by e-mail as stated below.
