Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on June 24, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Department of Education Riley Room, 151 West Ohio Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Department of Education will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to Title 512 of the Indiana Administrative Code.

The proposed rule amends Title 512 of the Indiana Administrative Code to govern the establishment and operation of virtual charter schools, to establish when the article applies, and to establish definitions under the article. The rule requires virtual charter schools to administer certain student assessments, adopt policies on technology use and training, set attendance policies, and the rule places certain enrollment restrictions on virtual charter schools.

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Department of Education, 151 West Ohio Street and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
