Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on February 8, 2010, at 9:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room #5, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Board of Barber Examiners will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments, concerning the use of instructors, concerning the barber examination, concerning barbering instructors, to establish fees for application, issuance, or renewal of barber licenses, barber school licenses, barber instructor licenses, or barber shop licenses; to establish fees for examinations for licensure to practice as a barber instructor or barber; to establish fees for temporary work permits, and to repeal 816 IAC 1-3-1 and 816 IAC 1-3-4.
The State Board of Barber Examiners has the authority to promulgate rules establishing the fees for examination, application, issuance, renewal, reinstatement, replacement, or temporary permits for barbers, barber instructors, barber schools, and barber shops. This proposed rule establishes the fees in compliance with the statutory changes in SEA 139 (P.L.194-2005). This proposed rule will have costs to entities. There are no new reporting or record keeping requirements for small businesses as a result of the proposed rule.
Copies of these rules are now on file at the office of the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W072 and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
