Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on October 28, 2009, at 9:30 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room 1, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners will hold a public hearing on a proposed new rule to establish the fee, requirements, and procedures for the veterinary investigative fund established by Senate Enrolled Act 316-2008, P.L.58-2008.

The Indiana Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners has the authority to promulgate rules in accordance with IC 4-22-2 to enforce and administer IC 25-38.1-2-19, including adopting fees for a person who holds a license or special permit as a veterinarian or a registration or special permit as a veterinary technician to provide funds for administering and enforcing the provisions of this article, including investigating and taking action against persons who violate this article. This proposed rule will impose costs on the regulated entities.
