TITLE 318 DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Department of Environmental Management intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: This rule would amend 318 IAC 1 concerning the inspection and cleanup of properties contaminated by chemicals used in the illegal manufacture of a controlled substance to clarify issues that were raised since the rule was originally effective including limiting the scope of the rule to dwellings, applying the rule to any illegally manufactured controlled substance, and clarifying definitions of terms, options available to property owners, qualified inspector criteria and duties, cleaning and testing requirements, and notification requirements.
