TITLE 68 INDIANA GAMING COMMISSION

Notice of Public Hearing
LSA Document #09-218

Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on July 27, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Gaming Commission, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600, East Tower, Executive Conference Room, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Gaming Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule regarding live gaming devices and tip boxes.
The Commission has the authority under IC 4-33-4-2 and IC 4-33-4-3 to promulgate rules regarding gaming in Indiana riverboat casinos. The proposed rule amends 68 IAC 14-2-2 to require that a tip box be locked and secured to the live gaming device. As a result of the requirements that the proposed rule imposes, the Commission will enhance security and be better able to protect the integrity of gaming by deterring tampering with tip boxes. The Commission relied on internal analysis of casino processes in determining that the imposition of requirements is necessary to protect the integrity of gaming.
Copies of the Commission's analysis justifying the requirements imposed by the proposed rule are now on file and open for public inspection and copying at the Indiana Gaming Commission, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600, East Tower, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Gaming Commission, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600, East Tower and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
