Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on June 22, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. EDT, at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room 14, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to amend 675 IAC 22-2.4, the 2008 Indiana Fire Code, to make substantive and clarifying changes. Public comments are invited and may be directed to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, Code Services Section, Attn: Mara Snyder, Indiana Government Center South, 302 West Washington Street, Room W246, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.

The Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission has authority to adopt this rule under IC 22-13-2. The Commission is directed by the Indiana General Assembly, in IC 22-13-2-2, to adopt a statewide code of fire safety and building laws. The proposed rule will incorporate necessary changes to the newly adopted 2008 Indiana Fire Code. There is no fiscal impact associated with the proposed changes.
