Notice of Public Hearing
LSA Document #09-62

Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on April 20, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., at the Office of the Indiana State Chemist, Purdue University, 175 South University Street, Room A151, West Lafayette, Indiana, the Indiana Pesticide Review Board will hold a public hearing on a proposed new rule to establish the requirement for pesticide applicators at golf courses to be certified and licensed and the requirement for those applicators to keep records of their pesticide applications.
The proposed rule requires each regulated entity, in this case each golf course that chooses to use pesticides, to employ at least one certified and licensed pesticide applicator and to keep records of those applications. The annual cost to each regulated entity would be approximately $345 for those who are not already certified and approximately $100 for those that are already certified. Copies of the fiscal analysis relied upon to calculate the referenced costs to regulated entities are now on file at the Indiana Pesticide Review Board, Purdue University, 175 South University Street, West Lafayette, Indiana and are open for public inspection and copying.
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Pesticide Review Board, Purdue University, 175 South University Street, West Lafayette, Indiana and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
