Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on April 16, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. EDT, at the Indiana Department of Transportation Traffic Management Building, 8500 East 21st Street, Conference Rooms C, D, and E, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Emergency Medical Services Commission will hold a public hearing on the proposed adoption of LSA Document #08-879 that amends 836 IAC 1-1-5 to revise the required data elements to conform to specific National Emergency Medical Service Information System data elements and to correct typographical errors. Public comments are invited and may be directed to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, Code Services Section, Attn: Mara Snyder, Indiana Government Center South, 302 West Washington Street, Room W246, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.

The Emergency Medical Services Commission has authority to adopt this rule under IC 16-31-2-7. The proposed rule will provide consistency with the data elements of the National Emergency Medical Service Information System. There is a small fiscal impact of $12,500, affecting three small businesses, associated with the proposed changes.
