TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS MAY COME, GREETINGS;
WHEREAS, ROBIN MITCHELL, who has petitioned for a pardon, was convicted in 1998 and 2001 in Marion County for Conversion and Receiving Stolen Property for which she served her sentence without incident or violation of parole; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner, who successfully served her probation sentence, is now a 39-year-old woman who has become a productive member of society while raising three daughters; and has since the instant offense lived a law-abiding life; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner is very active within her church and endeavors to work with mentally challenged children; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner has shown the ability to turn her life around after making a poor decision as a young woman; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner has letters of support urging the Governor to grant this Pardon; and
WHEREAS, the Parole Board, after careful investigation and examination of all the facts in this case, has unanimously recommended to the Governor that this pardon be granted.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., Governor of the State of Indiana, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of said State, do hereby issue a Pardon to ROBIN MITCHELL.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of the State of Indiana on this 31st day of December, 2008.
