Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Office of the Secretary of Family and Social Services intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 405 IAC 5-3-2 for the purpose of including environmental lead investigation and lead case management as services available with prior authorization by telephone. Amends 405 IAC 5-3-13 for the purpose of including environmental lead investigation and lead case management as services that require prior authorization. Adds 405 IAC 5-39 for purposes of including blood lead poisoning follow-up services as services covered by Medicaid, including definitions, eligibility requirements, description of covered services, and criteria for reimbursement. Statutory authority: IC 12-8-6-5; IC 12-15-1-10; IC 12-15-21-1; IC 12-15-21-2; IC 12-15-21-3.
