Honorable R. Michael Young:

This notice is pursuant to IC 4-22-2-25, and shall notify the administrative oversight committee that the Indiana State Police do not expect the adoption of LSA Document #08-320 and #08-321 to be completed within one year of the publication of the notice of intent to adopt a rule under section 23 of this chapter.

This delay is due to procedural complications and turnover of staff members that were directly involved in the rules adoption process.

Both proposed administrative rule changes are set for hearing on December 30, 2008. We fully expect to have this process completed and approved by the governor no later than October 31, 2009.

The Indiana State Police greatly appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and assistance during this process.
