Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on January 8, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room C, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Division of Family Resources (DFR) will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule concerning temporary assistance to needy families (TANF).

The purpose of the proposed TANF rule under IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3) is to amend 470 IAC 10.3-2-1 to allow DFR to accept electronic signatures, amend 470 IAC 10.3-2-3 to allow DFR to conduct the reinvestigation interview of eligibility for the temporary assistance for needy families (TANF) cash assistance program and Medicaid by mail, by phone, or in person, and amend 470 IAC 10.3-10-1 to exempt adults caring for a disabled household member from the TANF IMPACT program.

All written comments concerning the rule received by DFR and the proposed rule will be available for public inspection between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in Room W451 (Legal Division), Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.
