Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on October 29, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room D, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Private Investigator and Security Guard Licensing Board will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to add 874 IAC 2 concerning private investigators and security guards to establish fees and implement the requirements of SEA 506, P.L.185-2007.

Upon review, the Private Investigator and Security Guard Licensing Board has determined that this rule will have a fiscal impact on small businesses. The proposed rule will impose a licensing fee of $300 for each license issued and a renewal fee of $300 every four years. In addition the proposed rule will require a fee of only $150 for a license that was issued during the last year of the licensing period. The proposed fee of $300 for the issuance and renewal of a four year license is not an increase, but is consistent with the current fee requirements of $150 for a two year license.
