Estimated Number of Small Business Subject to this Rule
No small businesses would be directly affected by the proposed rule changes. The amendments are mostly housekeeping measures intended to incorporate P.L.4-2008 and the eventuality of effectuation of the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources Compact. The DNR's Division of Water is currently the point of contact for the Water Resources Development Act, and this status would also be applied to preparations for the Compact and its implementation, if enacted.

There will be no administrative costs to small businesses as a result of compliance with these rule section amendments.

An alternative regulatory method is not proposed since the amendments have no impact on small businesses. The agency did not rely on any studies in its decision not to employ alternatives to the proposed rule section amendments.
