Notice of Public Hearing
Under
IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on August 14, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. EDT, at the National City Center, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 220, Room 224, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule (RM #07-09, LSA Document #08-315) to amend
170 IAC 4-1-11,
170 IAC 4-1-12,
170 IAC 5-1-11, and
170 IAC 5-1-12 regarding customer requests for meter testing;
170 IAC 6-1-1 through
170 IAC 6-1-12 regarding standards of service and meter testing for water utilities; and
170 IAC 6-2-2 regarding the classification of accounts for water utilities.
This proposed rule clarifies procedures regarding customer requests for meter testing, allowing the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission to exercise its discretion in utilizing its staff and resources to supervise meter testing in electric, gas, and water industries. This proposed rule also updates state regulations to conform to current industry practices for water utilities. This proposed rule does not impose any costs not already required under state regulations and may reduce administrative costs for the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission as well as the regulated utilities. Copies of the submitted cost information are now on file at the offices of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, National City Center, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1500 East.
